New building DFS Tower Frankfurt

Fischer Stahlbau has been building the steel construction of the new tower for the German Flight Security on the grounds of the Airport Frankfurt since the end of June 2009. A far protruding front building with over 400 m² space for offices, technology and conference rooms is being built at a height of up to 70 metres.

Fischer Stahlbau realizes the entire steel construction of the new tower, which is built at a height of up to 70 m by our assemblymen. At a height of over 50 metres the horizontal steel beams freely protrude the tower on both sides. Working in this height not only requires skilled competence, but also mobility free of vertigo.

To reduce the assembly effort at this height we developed a special assembly concept. Numerous prefabricated components are preassembled on the ground and hoisted to height with special cranes. This way the construction time for the steel frame is reduced to only 6 weeks. The completion of the steel construction is planned for August of this year.

LKA-Düsseldorf

The carcass works on the new building of the Land Office of Criminal Investigation in Düsseldorf have begun the beginning of 2008. Highlight of the building will be the square atrium of the entry area with a glass facade and an openly overarching steel roof construction. The roof construction will be conducted two-way with walkable sun protection glass and a warm roof as an inverted roof. The room dividing, bullet and burglary resistant inner facade of steel and glass must meet extreme demands. Fischer GLASSCON received the order for the complete construction of the atrium including the safety facade.

Loop5 – if you look at the pictures in our gallery you will get a good idea of the dimensions of the new glass roofs of the shopping centre in Weiterstadt. However, they will be even more impressive to the visitors of the Centre when the seemingly light-weight construction appears to be floating over their heads: But do not worry. Because almost 500 tons of steel are carrying the up to 1.500 m² large glass panes of the 5 glass roofs that can be walked on for service purposes.
Fischer GLASSCON GmbH received the order for the production of all glass roof constructions including the entry facade.
